Lost

I’ve recently completed a painting (oil on canvas). This was a very fulfilling experience, and the first proper painting I’ve done in years. I certainly plan to do more (will aim for one per month next year).

The image is inspired by Coldplay’s amazing song Viva la Vida, which formed a rather elegant backtrack to my life for a week or two at the beginning of September. I haven’t thought the symbolism out in too much detail – it’s much more interesting if people come to their own conclusions…

Thanks to Wian for inspiring me to actually get as far as painting something, and to Fritz for the canvas (even if it took 18 months before I used it).

I see something in the line of “global warming conspiracy”.

ie we are puppeted into believing global warming while evidence shows that it is actually a natural cycle for some unknown gain.

Quite beautiful, well done. Thought I recognised the rectangular shape.

Clearly this painting is about the modern man, controlled by the machine, waving good bye to things of the past: history, romance and double Fourier transforms.
