I have known great heights
stood like a god with mountains at my knees
the world a mere toy in my hands
I have seen everything
and found the secrets of life itself
Only to fall back down
return to the ground, small and insignificant
powerless before the abyss
I have forgotten everything
left only with the echo of a memory
I cling to that fading echo
and work to repair burnt Icarus wings
fighting the growing despair
I shall rediscover something
and ascend the slope once more
And many more times I’ll fall
the vista torn away, the power lost
but each time the echoes sound louder
until I regain everything
and take my place among the stars
